The Bulldogs Foundation has always supported a graduating student(both male and female) that is registered in a post-secondary institution with a $1,000 scholarship. These students have participated in extra-curricular activities, have taken on leadership roles in their schools and have given back to their community.
This year's recipients of the Harry Howell Scholarship are Shekinah Kienansatuko and Kyle Fernandes, both recent graduates of Cathedral high school.
Shekinah was involved in many extracurricular activities throughout her four years of high school. She played basketball, rugby and touch football, as well as being the leader of the step squad. Shekinah demonstrated teamwork, leadership and dedication to her academics during her time at Cathedral. Next year she will be moving on to study social science and continue her basketball career at the University of Western Ontario.
Kyle served on the student council for a number of years at Cathedral. He represented the student body with excellent leadership as the student council president during his grade 12 year. Kyle was also involved with the cross country and badminton teams. Kyle will be attending University to study engineering.
