Not only was the month of October a busy one for the Hamilton Bulldogs, seeing them play 11 games during this time, but it was a busy one for the Bulldogs Foundation as well.
On October 1st, former NHL alumni and Stanley Cup Champion Ric Nattress visited the FirstOntario Centre in support of St. Matthew's House and the Bulldogs Foundation. St. Matthew's House provides programs and services to meet the needs of families, children, seniors and individuals seeking assistance and support.
On October 12th, Bulldog players Mackenzie Entwistle and Connor Walters took to the runway in support of the Bob Kemp Hospice and their Fashion Show.
At the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, their goal is to provide individuals and families living with a life-threatening illness excellence in care, whether that be at home, in hospital, a long-term care facility or their very own residential hospice. Hospice is about celebrating life and quality of living. All services, including their residential program, are provided at no cost to their clients or their families.
A huge thank you goes out to our friends at FirstOntario Credit Union for having us at their table for this wonderful evening!
October 16th marked an amazing night in the city of Hamilton for hockey, as well as the Bulldogs Foundation. Carmen’s Group proudly presented An Evening with The Great One featuring Wayne Gretzky. This memorable night celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the 1987 Canada Cup victory in Hamilton with hockey’s greatest player and other NHL legends at a star-studded gala.

This intimate event experience allowed fans to get up-close and personal with the most iconic and decorated hockey star of all time.
Proceeds from the event were directed to Minor Hockey in the City through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program, supported children’s nutrition through Food4Kids and will also aided The Hamilton Bulldogs Foundation in providing interactive programs involving education, physical fitness and personal well-being of our City’s youth.
On Thursday October 19th, Bulldogs players Will Bitten and Brandon Saigeon were accompanied by Bruiser and visited the children of St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School.
Will and Brandon visited classrooms full of enthusiastic students educating them on the importance of living healthy lifestyles. A huge thank you goes out to the students and faculty of St. Brigid for welcoming us into their school, it was a great day had by all!
Interacting with the children who make up the Hamilton Bulldog's community is extremely important to us and we look forward to more school visits in the months to come.
Moving into November, don't forget to continue to support the Bulldogs Foundation by purchasing your 50/50 tickets at every Bulldogs home game!
You can also support the Foundation by purchasing game-worn jerseys and other memorabilia in the Foundation Booth located in section 114 during home games.
Thank you to everyone who made the month of October such a great month for the Bulldogs Foundation, and we look forward to an awesome, event-filled November!
