Last week on Wednesday, November 15th, the Bulldogs Foundation held a Thank You Breakfast for all of our Adopt-a-School partners. In attendance were representatives from all of the corporate partners and schools involved in the program. Also in attendance were members of the Public and Catholic School Boards, as well as members of the Bulldogs Foundation Board.
The Adopt-a-School initiative was established to strengthen the ties with our inner city schools and provide students an opportunity to connect with Bulldogs players and community partners. The students not only are supported with a healthy breakfast each day but also receive tickets to games, visits by Bulldogs players and the opportunity to connect with a local business partner.
Everyone in attendance was very pleased to have 10 students from Hess Street School join them for breakfast and get the opportunity to eat with a few of our very own Bulldogs players.
After the breakfast and remarks from Hamilton Bulldogs Owner Michael Andlauer, and President and General Manager Steve Staios, everyone in attendance got the opportunity to go out and join the over 10,000 children in attendance at The FirstOntario Center to watch the Bulldogs take on the Peterborough Petes in the annual School Day game.
HWDSB Director of Education. Manny Figueiredo gives the puck to Lake Avenue school after their students sung the national anthem prior to puck drop.
Thank you to everyone involved who helped make the breakfast, and this day possible. And a very special thank you to our Adopt-a-School corporate partners for their continued support to help make this program possible.
