Hamilton Bulldogs Partner Ashley Home Store Provide Beds to Families in Need

Ashley Home Store Canada believes all family members should be able to have a good night’s sleep, especially the little ones. Not only were the Hamilton Bulldogs the first team in the Eastern Conference to clinch a playoff spot, but one of our corporate sponsors was able to provide Eva Rothwell families with beds to give them the sleep and comfort they deserve.

Ashley Home Store in partnership with the Hamilton Bulldogs hosted two families at their Sunday, February 11th home game against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The families were treated to a behind the scenes tour before being guided to their rink side seats to enjoy the game. This was the first time each family was able to see the Bulldogs play and they seemed to bring the home team luck as your Bulldogs defeated the number one ranked Greyhounds by a score of 5-2. However, their experience wasn’t over just yet.

After the game was over, Ashley Home Store surprised the families and provided them with ten brand new beds for their kids. Sue Edebeisy spoke on behalf of Ashley. “We care about the children. When a family has a good night’s sleep, the whole family can function better together.”

As a partner with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Ashley Home Store is one of the many corporate sponsors that take pride in supporting the CHL and their surrounding communities. In most cases hockey is the backbone to these areas. “To be able to use the OHL as an avenue to help charities through sponsors, is extremely crucial to be able to work together across the country,” said OHL Director of Business Development, Kyle Ferguson.

The Eva Rothwell Centre is located in the heart of Hamilton's north end and strives to provide the resources and support needed for the betterment of the lives of our community members, as well as the skills and tools required for academic and professional success. They are a one-stop-shop for community members in need of support and the necessary resources to lift themselves out of poverty. With their positive intervention and support, they can help create a better tomorrow for the children and families in our community.

We at the Bulldogs Foundation cannot thank Ashley Home Store Canada enough for contributing to the betterment of our Hamilton community via their generous donation to the Eva Rothwell Centre and the families that are apart of their programs.
